The Best Coffee Spots in Frome
Having moved to the area, one of my first priorities was to find the best coffee spots in Frome. While it hasn't been difficult, it’s certainly been a fun and rewarding adventure! I’ve loved exploring the town’s unique cafes, especially with my rather large and enthusiastic Golden Retriever, Sophie, by my side. Each coffee shop I’ve visited has brought its own joy, offering both amazing coffee and a warm, welcoming vibe.
If you’re on the hunt for top coffee spots in Frome, here are my recommendations!
Bistro Lotte has great food from breakfast to dinner, beautiful design and is light and airy. I love sitting in the window or out on the tables where I can watch the world go by.
Bar Lottee is the sister bar a few doors up that is known for its live music on a Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoons. This is such a treat to enjoy solo or with some friends. Be sure to get there early if you want a seat.
Projects is situated on the bridge in Frome, it’s a great place to work or read. The food is delicious vegetarian and vegan based and the coffee from a brand of all female roasters is fab! It has two sharing tables if you like the company and a little space outside at the back to enjoy some quiet time.
Cafe La Strada is at the top of Cheap Street, a famous old traditional high street which has a spring fed leet running down the middle. As it says, La Strada ‘feeds the hungry, thirsty and the soul!’ A very warm friendly place again where Sophie is always welcome! Very friendly service and a real treat. needless to say they also have an ice cream parlour attatched which I highly recommend. The stairs for the toilet are not easy for anyone with mobility issues.
Neighbourhood is new to Frome, it’s also on the quirky little street “cheap street”. Part coffee spot, part crafts its a quirky little place to grab a really great coffee. The hand made crafts are dangerous on the wallet! Always treats on hand for my dog Sophie
Half way up (or down) St Catherine Hill Moo and Two has one table reserved for lap tops and all the others are for enjoying coffee and conversation. It makes for a sociable place to sit and meet with tables at the back and benches in the front. A great find, Really well made coffee and the old high street feels like you’ve gone back in time.
Hung Drawn And Quoted Coffee shop DUNK
I have to add Hung Drawn and Quoted for its unique little tea shop attached to Kate’s gallery! The Vintage Tea room called DUNK is quirky and fun with the best part being the staff . Great for a chat and always lots to learn from them. I love dunk full to the brim of so many wonderful things!
